π New features
π In-app documentation and new version notifications
No more surprises from unknown changes β Speybl will now notify you when a new version is released.
If a newer version of the application is available, a purple dot will appear next to the ? icon in the main menu. Just click it and a modal will open directly in the application with an overview of what's new β without having to search for documentation or wait for an email.
How to set up alerts for your team:
The administrator can choose which users will receive email notifications about new versions in the Settings β Notifications section. Both the specific recipient and the frequency of notifications can be set. The system detects the new version automatically β so the administrator or HR manager is always the first to know.
Where to find it: ? icon in the upper right corner of the application β News section.
π New analytics
The Analytics module has undergone a significant transformation. Instead of fixed reports, you can now build your own view of the data β exactly according to what you need to monitor.
What analytics can do now:
You choose a time period (e.g. JanuaryβApril, the whole year, your own range)
You select the display period β data by months, quarters or years
Add the data categories you are interested in (attendance, wages, turnover, and more)
After selecting a category, you can further edit it β adjust the axes or filtering as needed.
You see the result as a graph and table side by side , so you have a visual overview and detailed numbers in one place
Actual wages paid: New reporting fields for actual wages paid have been added to analytics β in both standardized and non-standardized versions, as separate data columns. They are particularly useful for monthly payroll cost checks and preparing supporting documents for management.
Where to find it: left menu β Analytics.
π Categorizing fields in a personal questionnaire
An Onboarding Questionnaire for new employees can have dozens of fields. Now, they can be clearly divided into named sections β for example, "Personal Data," "Contacts," "Bank Details" β so the employee immediately knows what they are filling out and why.
How it works:
The HR administrator sets up sections and assigns fields to them directly in the custom fields Settings . When the employee fills out the questionnaire, they see a structured form divided into clear blocks β instead of one long list of items.
Practical advantage: The start of a new employee is less stressful when the questionnaire looks like a clear guide, not like a tax return.
Where to set this: Settings β Display β Custom Fields β Input Questionnaires.
β‘ Improvements
Attendance
π§ Global automatic attendance configuration β the automatic attendance completion Settings have moved from the individual employee card to the company-wide level. The administrator defines the rules once centrally and they apply to all employees meeting the specified criteria. The Settings can be found in Settings β Attendance β Automatic attendance.
β Approval by teams and labels β the attendance approval workflow can now be limited to selected teams or groups of employees marked with a label. Companies with multiple departments can have each department set up individually.
π© Notifications to supervisor when request is not approved β if an employee submits an absence request that is not automatically subject to approval (e.g. sick day without approval), the supervisor will still receive an information notification about it. This way, they have an overview even without the approval process.
Documents and templates
π Template sets β document templates can be grouped into named sets (e.g. "Entry documents", "Annual evaluation"). When generating, simply select the entire set and all documents in it will be generated at once β without having to click through individual templates.
π Default folder for generation β for each template, you can set the folder in which the generated document will be automatically saved for the employee. No more manually moving documents after generation.
Approval
π Fixed approval bubble logic β the system now correctly loops through supervisors until it finds an authorized person for approval. If no one is authorized, fallback to everyone who is authorized.
Employee overview
π₯ Fixed the Display of the end of the fixed-term employment contract β the column with the end of the fixed-term employment contract now sorts and filters correctly.
Dashboard
π Pinned forms β the most used Forms can now be pinned directly to the board.
The version also includes ongoing fixes and stability improvements to the application.
