Speybl not only includes approving requests (e.g. vacation), but also requiring employees to check and, if necessary, approve their attendance for the past calendar month.

This process is used to verify the accuracy of attendance data before further processing.

🗓️ Monthly attendance check

Attendance approval is for the entire calendar month and applies to hours worked, absences, vacations, and other attendance events.

Attendance Sheets are numbered in the MM/YYYY format (e.g. 12/2025 — month / calendar year).

📤 How to request attendance approval

Attendance approval can be requested manually or automatically.

✋ Manually request approval

Manual requests are made by an administrator or a person with appropriate permissions.

Procedure:

  1. Go to the Attendance → Attendance Sheets module

  2. Click the eye icon for the selected attendance sheet

  3. The attendance sheet detail will open (e.g. 12/2025)

  4. On the timesheet detail, you will see a status bar with the approval and lock status. Click the Request Approval button.

This step sends a request to check and approval attendance to all employees, or only to selected persons (using filtering).

🤖 Automatic approval request

The entire process can also be fully automated. For example, it is possible to set up an automatic request for approval on the first calendar day of the new month, send a reminder to all employees in the company, and send repeated reminders in the following days only to those employees who have not yet completed the review and approval .

🔔 Notifications and reminders

Employees are informed about the approval request via notifications in the application and possibly other notification channels according to the Settings. Thanks to repeated reminders, it is ensured that the attendance approval is carried out in a timely manner.

⭐ Summary

Attendance approval for a calendar month: ensures the accuracy of attendance data, can be requested manually or automatically, supports mass and targeted approval, and minimizes the need for manual control by the administrator.
