🔍 What is it?

Custom fields allow you to extend the standard employee profile with any attributes specific to your company — such as internal classification, project assignment, certifications, or other HR metadata.

🧭 Where to find your own field

You can manage custom fields in Settings → Custom fields . Once created, the fields are displayed on the employee's detail in the appropriate section.

➕ Create a custom field

  1. Go to Settings → Custom Fields

  2. Click "+" to add a new field

  3. Enter the field name and select the type (text, number, date, list selection, yes/no)

  4. Save the field — it will appear on the employee detail

🏷️ Field categorization

Custom fields can be organized into categories. Each field can be assigned a named category, which makes it easier to navigate when you have a large number of fields. Categories are set when you create or edit a field.

🔒 Permissions

The visibility and editability of custom fields can be controlled by role permissions. The administrator sets which roles can view or edit fields in Settings → Users and Roles .
