Kiosk Mode is a simple and effective way to record employee attendance. A mode is launched on a selected device (e.g. a tablet at the entrance) that allows employees to quickly record their arrival, break or departure without having to log into the application.

🔍 What is it for?

Kiosk Mode allows employees to enter attendance using a personal code without accessing the main application. It is mainly used for quick check-in of employees when arriving and leaving the workplace. Suitable for production halls, warehouses, entrance receptions, etc.

⚙️ How the mode works

  • Each employee is assigned a personal code to log in with

  • After logging in, they only see their name and the day's stopwatch

  • Chooses an action: arrival, pause or departure

  • After entering, the system will automatically log you out.

🔐 Automatic logout

  • After logging in, a timer runs for 60 seconds

  • If the user does not click any button, they are automatically logged out

  • After recording an action, logout is accelerated to 5 seconds

  • This ensures that another person cannot tamper with the previous user's account.

🧪 Easy mode

In addition to the standard mode, it is possible to activate a simple mode where the employee does not enter a login — just enter a personal code and click on the desired attendance tile.

🛠️ Mode activation

  1. Log in as administrator

  2. Go to Settings → Integrations

  3. In the Kiosk Mode tile, activate the mode using the slider

  4. The system will generate a unique company code for access to the Kiosk

At the same time, personal codes are automatically created for all employees.

📩 Employee personal codes

  • After activating the Kiosk, each employee is sent a personal code by email.

  • The code is also available in the application in the My Profile → Settings → Kiosk Mode Code section.

🔓 Device login to mode

  1. Launch the Speybl login page on your selected device

  2. At the bottom of the page, click "Switch to Kiosk Mode"

  3. Enter the company code that was generated for you during activation.

♻️ Bulk code reset

For increased security, you can turn the mode off and on again at any time in Settings → Integrations. This will generate new personal codes for all employees, which are automatically sent to their email.
