Notifications are used to inform users about important events in the Speybl app. You can set what types of notifications you want to receive and how – by email or directly in the app.
Typical events include: task assignment, new document to sign, approval request , upcoming Training or test, employee data update, newly entered attendance for approval.
⚙️ Where to set Notifications
You can set up Notifications in Settings → Notifications. This section is available to users with administrator privileges. Here you can enable or disable individual notification types and select the delivery method (email, private email, Microsoft Teams, Slack…).
📧 Email Notifications
Email Notifications are delivered to the email address listed in the user's profile. The user can receive emails even if they are not currently logged into the application.
You can also set Notifications to go to the employee's private email address. If both emails are the same, the application will recognize this and send only 1 email.
🖥️ In-app Notifications
Notifications in the application are displayed on the bulletin board and by clicking on the bell icon in the top bar. By clicking on the notification, the user will be taken directly to the relevant content. Notifications remain visible until the user marks them as read. The user will also receive a push Notifications.
📣 More notification channels
If you enable it in Settings → Integrations, additional Notifications channels will be available, such as Microsoft Teams or Slack.
👥 Different roles, different Notifications
Each Notifications is targeted to specific users based on their role. For example: requests for attendance approval are seen by a supervisor, a notification about a document to be signed is sent to the relevant employee, and data updates are approved by HR.
💡 Tip: Set only what's important
Too many notifications can overwhelm users. We recommend enabling only those types of notifications that are truly important for the role.
