In addition to working with evaluation templates, Speybl also allows you to quickly Employee Evaluations and add individual metrics that only apply to specific people. This approach is ideal in situations where you need to evaluate specific criteria without the changes being reflected in the evaluations of other employees.

🧩 Individual metrics – how they work

Individual metrics allow you to: expand the existing evaluation template with additional criteria, assign these criteria only to a specific employee, and preserve the original form of the evaluation for others.

For example, to a standard template with three metrics, you can add additional specific criteria for a selected employee that will not be displayed for others. This is especially useful when an employee has a specific role, you don't want to change the global template for one person, or you need to track temporary/one-time goals.

📍 Where to find quick assessments and individual metrics

You manage quick assessments and individual metrics in the Development and Assessment → Assessment module.

Within the Evaluation module: create or open an existing evaluation via the "Select an evaluation template" step, assign an employee to the evaluation, and add individual metrics to a specific employee that apply only to him/her.

👤 Individual metrics for a specific person

In the list of employees for a given rating, select a specific employee and open their rating in detail. The metrics from the template are fixed and apply to everyone. Below you can add your own (individual) metrics that apply only to this employee.

⚙️ Individual metric Settings

For each individual metric, you can set: a name and optional description, the weight of the metric (how much it affects the overall result), and the type of metric — numeric rating, range rating (scale), Yes/No, or short text.

⏱️ Metrics time limit

Individual metrics can be time-limited — you set a from-to date and the metric is automatically deactivated after the period expires. Suitable for temporary goals (quarterly salesperson goals), trial periods, or specific development activities.

💾 Save and use

After saving individual metrics, the metrics are immediately saved to the employee, displayed in the evaluation section next to the other metrics from the template, and apply only to that specific person.

Using the same procedure, you can extend one evaluation template with any number of individual metrics for multiple employees — without having to create new templates or interfere with the evaluations of others. This greatly simplifies working with individual goals, targeted Development Plans , and testing new metrics with a smaller group of people.
