🔍 What is it?
The Shifts module allows you to plan and manage employee work Shifts . It is used to make it clear who is working when and to make it possible to clearly set, change and evaluate Shifts .
🧭 Shift planning
Shifts are planned using a Gantt chart, calendar, or daily view
Each day is divided into time slots (e.g. 6:00 AM–2:00 PM, 2:00 PM–10:00 PM)
The shift is assigned to a specific employee and recorded in their attendance.
Possibility to assign shifts to multiple employees at the same time
➕ Create a Shifts
Click and drag to select the days for the scheduled shift
You choose the Shifts type, time and employee
Recurring Shifts can also be scheduled (e.g. every odd week, every Monday)
The shift will automatically appear in the employee's attendance after saving.
🧩 Working with a Gantt chart
Gantt chart displays Shifts visually – daily blocks in columns
Each color indicates a different Shifts type or status (scheduled, confirmed, canceled)
Possibility of mass selection and assignment of shifts to multiple people at the same time
Shift preview can be filtered by team, employee or period
⚙️ Dual Display Settings Attendance / Shifts
In the Gantt chart, you can enable the Display of a second data source next to the primary one. The row order can be set separately for the Attendance view and the Shift Planning view:
Attendance view: attendance row at the top, Shifts at the bottom (or vice versa)
Shift Planning view: Shifts at the top, attendance at the bottom (or vice versa)
You can find the Settings in Settings → Attendance → Dual View .
📋 History and filtering
The module keeps a history of planned shifts
You can filter by employee, team, Shifts type or period
You can view the list of shifts in a spreadsheet or export to Excel.
✅ Interaction with employees
Employees can view Shifts only or confirm them
Email notifications can be set up when a Shifts changes or a new one is assigned
Team leaders can manage Shifts for their team, HR for the entire organization
💡 Tips
Changes made to shifts can be automatically recorded in attendance
For bulk scheduling, use the multi-select and quick assignment feature
