The "Structure" section, which can be found in the main menu under the "Employees" tab, allows you to see a clear graphical view of how the employees fit into the company structure.
The division of the company structure
The structure is divided into two views.
1. The first view is the corporate team structure, which shows a tree of the different teams or departments currently operating in the company. In the team structure, you can also find which teams operate independently and which operate under a parent team. In the team structure, you can also see the name of the team leader of a given team, and when you click on a team, you will see a list of its members. Using the "+" button, you can easily create a new team directly in the structure, or assign it under an existing team that you choose as its parent. After creating a new team, you can immediately see it in the company structure. Then, in the "Teams" tab, you can add individual members to the already created team and select its team leader. The team structure is generated based on the individual teams you have created in the application.
2. The second view is the corporate structure, which shows the individual employees of the company. In this structure tree, you can also find the individual employees' position in the company. By clicking on an employee in the structure, you can easily go to their detail and make adjustments to it. When you click on a company structure from the detail of a selected employee, the employee is always highlighted in a different colour in the company structure to make it obvious at a glance where they are in the structure.
In the case of the company structure, it is possible to synchronize employees by team using the button. If a supervisor is changed in the company structure, it is possible to choose what happens to the subordinates who are currently assigned to that supervisor. You can choose whether you want to move the entire supervisor structure as well, whether you want to select a new supervisor directly or move the entire structure under the current supervisor.
You also have the option to adjust the structure by team.
Viewing the structure in the employee tab
In the settings, you can choose in the "View" tab whether you want to display the employee's position in the company and the structure tree on the employee detail. If you do not want to see the structure tree on the individual employee detail, you can simply hide it in this section of the settings by deactivating the corresponding slider (sliders that are hidden on the employee detail are colored gray).
Selecting the visibility of teams on the employee tab and setting the permissions of employees to see other employees
In the "View" tab, you can also set whether or not you want to see a column with teams in the employee list. This option can be useful, for example, if you do not have employees in your company divided into any teams or departments. You can easily make the list of employees clearer.
You can also set here whether you want employees to be able to see other employees of the company in the employee overview or only have access to their own profile.
How an employee sees the company structure from his or her own perspective
An employee sees the structure in the same way as a supervisor (or other competent person, e.g. HR manager, director, etc.), with the difference that he can only see other employees but cannot access their detail in the structure because he is only allowed to view his own detail. The employee is able to see the other members of the company structure mainly to know who he can contact in case of need and at the same time to have a general overview of the other employees of the company.
